HArmonyCa® Filler

HArmonyCa™ is a hybrid dermal filler that combines Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) with Hyaluronic Acid to create an immediate skin lift and gradually stimulate continuous collagen production for a more youthful look. The CaHA supports the body’s collagen production and works deep within the skin to produce new collagen fibres as early as one week after injection, while the Hyaluronic Acid provides hydration, leaving skin looking full and glowy.

This treatment is not suitable for:

1. Patients with a known sensitivity to any of the product ingredients

2. Patients suffering from skin disease or abnormal skin conditions

3. Patients suffering from an infection or inflammation on or near treatment area

4. Patients susceptible to keloids, hypertrophic scarring or inflammatory skin conditions

5. Patients with impaired wound healing due to medical conditions, medicinal drugs or poorly vascularised tissue

6. Patients suffering from prolonged bleeding or tissue healing due to medical conditions or medicinal drugs

7. Patients with a history of anaphylactic reactions and/or severe allergies

8. Patients with known sensitivity to steroids or who are contraindicated to be treated with steroids

9. Patients presenting with herpes

10. Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding

11. Patients below the age of 18

12. Patients with autoimmune diseases

13. Patients with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other amide-type local anaesthetics or patients with conditions for which lidocaine is contraindicated

14. The treatment should not be injected into area between eyebrows or surrounding the eye sockets

15. The treatment should not be injected into lips or area around the mouth

16. The treatment should not be injected into blood vessels or highly vascularised areas

17. The treatment should not be injected into the epidermis or superficial dermis

18. The treatment should not be injected into regions containing foreign bodies

Yes, HArmonyCa is a dermal filler intended for facial soft tissue augmentation.

The hyaluronic acid particles work deep within the skin, where they help plump it up for an immediate lift effect. Calcium hydroxyapatite particles support the body’s own collagen production, so new collagen fibres start to grow. As the gel slowly disappears over time, a firm and dense collagen network is built in its place for a gradual, long-lasting lift from calcium hydroxyapatite. The clinical effects of CaHA can last 1-3 years.

Drink plenty of water post treatment.

1. Avoid washing the treated areas to avoid contamination.

2. Avoid alcohol consumption and smoking.

3. Avoid exercise.

4. Avoid excessively hot environments such as saunas.

5. Avoid exposing yourself to direct sunlight.

6. Irritation and redness should subside 24-48 hours after treatment. Swelling may last for up to a week after treatment. Apply an ice pack or cold compress to the treated area 24 hours post treatment to reduce irritation. If small bumps appear under the skin, massage the treated area to resolve the issue.

This treatment takes approximately 20-30 mins.

The number of treatments required may vary depending on the individual, however, results are visible after just one treatment. Results last 18-24 months.

HArmonyCa™ can be used under the skin in the deep dermal and sub-dermal layers in certain areas of the face and cannot be injected around the eyes, the lips or around the mouth. During your consultation, your therapist will discuss your concerns and suggest which facial areas can be treated with HArmonyCa™

Results can be seen immediately after treatment, with skin looking hydrated and lifted, while collagen production can begin within one week of treatment.

Your therapist will first discuss your concerns and assess whether you are suitable for treatment with HArmonyCa™. They will then use injections with HArmonyCa™ in the areas of the face that need treating. HArmonyCa™ contains lidocaine, an anaesthetic, to reduce the pain you may experience during treatment.

HArmonyCa contains a local anaesthetic called lidocaine. This numbs the area to reduce pain and also reduces other side effects such as burning and edema.

Because HArmonyCa is a mixed dermal filler, its lifting effects can last a very long time, up to two years or until the filler is completely broken down by the body. Because it has calcium hydroxyapatite in it, it lasts longer than most fillers and keeps working because calcium hydroxyapatite helps the body heal itself. We think that HArmonyCa will become very common in our clinic, mostly because it has these two long-lasting effects.

Biostimulators and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers work differently and may not give the same results. HArmonyCa™ combines calcium hydroxyapatite with hyaluronic acid, capturing the potential benefits of both in one.

Juvederm is made up of only Hyaluronic acid dermal filler, but HArmonyCA also has calcium hydroxyapatite in it, which makes it a mixed filler. This makes collagen, which makes the skin tighter and last longer.

HArmonyCA is a new kind of filler called a hybrid filler. It combines the best features of two different types of fillers: dissolvable hyaluronic acid skin fillers and calcium hydroxyapatite, which is known to help collagen grow. Poly Lactic Acid is used to make Sculptra. This acid helps collagen grow, but it doesn’t have any immediate lifting benefits.

Profhilo works to deeply moisturise the tissues, which smooths out lines and wrinkles and makes the face better over time. However, it only lasts for 4 to 6 months. Not only does HArmonyCa moisturise your skin with hyaluronic acid, but it also has calcium hydroxyapatite, which makes the effects last longer and give your face a lift.

Severe complications from dermal fillers are uncommon. Potential risks vary depending on the specific filler used and the relative permanence of the filler substance and include:

Damage to the skin that results in a wound and possible scarring

Infection at the injection site

Lumps

Palpability of the filler under the surface of the skin

Skin rash with itching

Skin redness

Although good results are expected from your procedure, there is no guarantee that you will be satisfied with your results. You will be asked to sign consent forms to ensure that you fully understand the procedure, as well as the risks and potential complications.

Yes most of the treatments can be done straight after consultation.

The discomfort is pretty minimal. We use a very strong numbing cream and local anaesthetic to numb the pain.

As with any product, side effects can occur. Some of the most common include:

Swelling

Pain

Tenderness

Itching

These are often mild.

Please remember we can only enhance our natural features. It is not possible to completely change them. Any treatment should be looked at as an improvement rather than a cure. It is not always possible to create the desired look if your facial anatomy does not allow. Please remember our faces are not symmetrical and sometimes no amount of filler can correct this.
